Refund & Cancellation Policy

The terms on which a payment made through this website or the mobile application may be cancelled or refunded.

Version 2Effective from

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to payments made to Advocate Mohit R Balani (“the Advocate”) through this website and the associated client portal and mobile application. Payments collected here are towards professional fees, litigation support and related charges for legal and advisory services.

Nature of payments

Amounts are raised as invoices against the professional services engaged by a client. A payment settles the balance recoverable shown on the relevant invoice in the client portal. A convenience fee levied to cover the payment-gateway charge may be added to the invoice amount at the time of payment; this fee is shown before the payment is confirmed.

Cancellation

As invoices are raised for services already engaged or in progress, a payment once initiated cannot ordinarily be cancelled by the client. If a payment has been made in error — for example a duplicate payment, or a payment against the wrong invoice — the client should contact the office promptly (details below) so the matter can be examined.

Refunds

  • Fees for professional services already rendered are not refundable.
  • Where a payment has been made in error, or an agreed service could not be provided, a refund of the amount (in whole or in part) may be approved at the Advocate’s discretion.
  • Any approved refund is made to the original payment method used for the transaction.
  • Approved refunds are processed within 5 to 7 working days of approval. The time for the amount to reflect thereafter depends on the payer’s bank or card issuer.
  • The convenience/payment-gateway fee, if any, is non-refundable except where the entire payment is refunded on account of an error.

How to raise a request

To request a refund or report a payment made in error, write to cases@mohitbalani.com with the invoice number, payment reference and reason, or use the details on our Contact page. Each request is acknowledged and examined on its facts.
